There is nothing quite like Chicago in the summertime. These three months of festivals, picnics and just overall bliss almost make up for the six months of Winter that Chicagoans suffer from each year. Snaps for me for surviving my first Chicago winter and not dying of frostbite.
Over the weekend I finally got my life together and made it to one festival that has been at the top of my list since I moved to Chicago last year: the Randolph Street Market Festival.
The Randolph Street Market Festival is a monthly indoor-outdoor market located in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. The market features 200 vendors of jewelry, vintage clothing, furniture and collectibles. And, the market also features food vendors. I experienced the best chicken empanada I've ever had there. Not getting the empanada vendor's card will be the biggest regret of my life.
